Central Oregon Sports Academy Offers TWO PROGRAMS

Whether you need targeted performance or complete athletic development and personal health Central Oregon Sports Academy‘s programs are built to meet you where you are - and take you where you want to go.

Program 1: Targeted Performance & Corrective Training

This program is designed for individuals seeking a highly specific outcome with a narrow, clearly defined goal. Each training plan is customized to address one primary focus area with precision and purpose. Examples include golf-specific strength and conditioning to improve mobility, rotational power, stability, balance, and swing efficiency, or personalized back health programs incorporating ELDOA, spinal decompression strategies, corrective movement patterns, and targeted core and back strengthening exercises. Programs may also focus on mobility restoration, injury recovery support, posture and structural balance, or sport-specific performance enhancement.

Every component of the program is selected to directly support the athlete’s goal while considering current limitations, movement quality, training history, and lifestyle demands. Sessions emphasize intelligent progression, movement efficiency, proper breathing mechanics, and long-term sustainability so clients can move better, reduce pain, improve performance, and build greater physical resilience.

Program 2: Comprehensive Performance & Human Development Program

This is Central Oregon Sports Academy’s flagship program and the most comprehensive approach offered. Designed for individuals committed to maximizing both athletic performance and personal health, this program addresses a broad range of physical, developmental, and lifestyle factors that influence long-term success. Training may include strength development, mobility, balance, flexibility, conditioning, recovery strategies, breathing mechanics, structural and postural work, ELDOA, nutrition guidance, stress management, and overall lifestyle optimization.

Rather than focusing on a single issue, this program provides a complete developmental system for both short- and long-term growth. Each athlete receives individualized programming based on their goals, physical history, sport or lifestyle demands, and overall health profile. This extensive program is recommended for anyone wanting to fully develop their physical potential while improving durability, movement quality, energy, and overall wellness. A minimum three-month commitment is required with training sessions 2–3 times per week, available both in-person at the studio and online while traveling.

Differences Between COMPETITIVE & Lifestyle athletes

Competitive Athlete-Specific Training (Vs Sports-Specific Training)

The key difference between sports-specific training and athlete-specific training is that while sports-specific training focuses on the demands of the athlete in their sports, athlete-specific training emphasizes the individual needs of the athlete i.e. what does this athlete need right now? Examples of an athlete’s specific needs that would require attention would be asymmetries and weak links (in general, or from the sport itself), past and present injuries, postural dysfunctions, functional (muscular) and structural imbalances (e.g. limb length discrepancies) and mobility and flexibility restrictions. The athlete’s program would then incorporate customized adjustments to correct them.

Keep in mind I don’t replace your sport coach. My programs enhances what you do by strengthening the engine that powers your performance.

Lifestyle Athlete-Specific Training

The primary goals of a lifestyle athlete differs somewhat to those of the competitive athlete. There’s no game to prepare for — just better overall capacity to function athletically. The focus of a lifestyle athlete moves towards moving better, reducing pain, building strength, improving longevity, maintaining body composition and feeling capable and athletic. This is often called general physical preparedness (GPP). In doing so the results will be improved joint health, coordination and balance, strength through all ranges and nervous system efficiency.

Tracking of personal progress generally entails monitoring of body weight, strength progress, and general health and sense of wellbeing.

The key takeaways with a lifestyle athlete‘s training is built around sustainability, health, and consistency.
